PLANETDANCE HAS SOMETHING FOR EVERYBODY
COMPETITION PROGRAM
Participation is by audition only. Company members compete at 3-4 regional competitions and attend a national dance competition every year. Company members participate in a minimum of 1 dance convention each year to experience working with other choreographers. Participation on a competition team requires a significant time commitment. Company members are required to take additional ballet and technique classes weekly. Fundraising opportunities are available to help offset the costs of costumes, competition fees, etc.
RECREATIONAL PROGRAM
Classes are available for ages 3 and up in ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop. Recreational dancers perform at the annual recital in June. Recital costumes costs are kept reasonable as we understand they are often only wore a few times for pictures, rehearsal and at the recital.
MASTER CLASSES
Master classes with guest teachers are held periodically throughout the year. Master classes are open to all planetdance students and area dancers. These classes give students an opportunity to take classes from professionals from all over the country. Past instructors have included Holden Maples, Amy Yakima, Ian Eastwood, Merissa Gassel, Tessandra Chavez, Chelsea Sebes, Matt Cady, Tokyo, Marinda Davis, David Mann, Tawney Giles, Jason Williams, Matt Alyward, Autumn Crockett-Cooper, Adam Ackerman, Joey Ondo, Cris Cangero, and Shannon Mather.
MOMMY & ME CLASSES
Planetdance offers Mommy and Me classes designed for little ones aged 18 months to 2.5 years. Our program is one where moms and their toddlers can bond through the joy of movement and music. Led by wonderful Ms. Allison, these classes blend creative play, gentle exercises, and rhythmic activities to promote both physical and emotional development in your little dancer. Join us at Planetdance, to create precious moments for you and your child.
