Something for everyone...
Planetdance offers programs for everyone. Each of our programs is offered to allow families to find a program that meets their schedules. Classes are usually offered Monday - Thursday evening. Some programs like Master Classes and Company members do have weekend events scheduled.

Recreational Program
Classes are available for ages 3 and up in ballet, tap, jazz and hip hop. Each month the studio hosts a watch week where parents are invited to watch what the dancers have been working on during the last 10 minutes of class. Recreational dancers perform at the annual recital in June. Recital costumes costs are kept reasonable as we understand they are often only wore a few times for pictures, rehearsal and at the recital.
Master Classes
Master classes with guest teachers are held periodically throughout the year. Master classes are open to all planetdance students and area dancers. These classes give students an opportunity to take classes from professionals from all over the country. Past instructors have included Dee Caspary, Dennis Caspary, Ian Eastwood, Merissa Gassel, Tessandra Chavez, Matt Cady, Tokyo, Marinda Davis, David Mann, Tawney Giles, Jason Williams, Matt Alyward and Shannon Mather.
Competitive Program
Participation is by audition only. Company members compete at 3-4 regional competitions and attend a national dance competition every other year. Company members participate in a minimum of 1 dance convention each year to experience working with other choreographers. Participation on a competition team requires a significant time commitment. Company members are required to take additional ballet and technique classes weekly. Fundraising opportunities are available to help offset the costs of costumes, competition fees, etc.
